Ontario PNP: Over 1,600 Candidates Invited in Latest Draw for Job Offer Holders

MyWorld Immigration is excited to share the latest news from the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), one of Canada’s most popular pathways to permanent residence.

On October 9, 2025, the province of Ontario issued 1,680 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for provincial nomination. This round of invitations targeted skilled individuals with valid job offers in key occupations such as healthcare, early childhood education, and several high-demand roles that support regional economic development.

This draw is part of Ontario’s broader efforts to address labour shortages by welcoming foreign talent ready to contribute to the province’s workforce and community growth.

Who Was Invited in This Ontario PNP Draw?

This latest OINP draw was split into two main categories under the Employer Job Offer streams:

1. Health and Early Childhood Education Occupations

A significant portion of the invitations — 1,590 ITAs — were issued to candidates in health-related fields and early childhood education roles. These candidates applied under the following OINP Employer Job Offer streams:

  • Foreign Worker Stream
  • International Student Stream
  • In-Demand Skills Stream

To qualify, candidates needed to meet specific eligibility criteria, including:

  • Residing in Canada at the time of the draw
  • Holding a valid job offer from an Ontario employer
  • Achieving the minimum Expression of Interest (EOI) score set by the province
  • Having their employer register the job offer through the new OINP Employer Portal

The occupations targeted included:

  • Registered Nurses and Nurse Practitioners
  • General Practitioners and Family Physicians
  • Licensed Practical Nurses and Nurse Aides
  • Physician Assistants and Midwives
  • Early Childhood Educators and Assistants

This focus reflects Ontario’s ongoing need for professionals in healthcare and childcare, two sectors under immense pressure across Canada.

2. Regional Economic Development Through Immigration (REDI) Pilot

In addition to healthcare and education professionals, 90 ITAs were issued under the REDI pilot, a special initiative that promotes population and economic growth in smaller and rural communities across Ontario.

The REDI draw invited candidates already working in communities such as Lambton, Lanark, and Leeds and Grenville, in a variety of sectors — from skilled trades and engineering to administration, agriculture, and social services.

To be considered, applicants needed:

  • A valid job offer in a designated REDI community
  • To meet higher EOI score thresholds depending on the occupation and stream
  • Relevant work experience and educational background aligned with the listed in-demand occupations

Roles targeted under REDI included:

  • Software Developers and Civil Engineers
  • Marketing and HR Professionals
  • Social Workers and Community Service Workers
  • Skilled Tradespeople like Carpenters, Mechanics, and Welders
  • Agricultural and Food Processing Workers

This pilot stream is an excellent option for candidates willing to live and work outside Ontario’s big cities — offering both permanent residence and the chance to settle in communities actively looking for talent.

What Does This Mean for You?

If you’re working in Canada with a valid job offer in Ontario — especially in healthcare, education, skilled trades, or tech — you could be eligible for future OINP draws.

Ontario’s Employer Job Offer streams continue to be a highly effective pathway to Canadian permanent residency, particularly for those who:

  • Have Canadian work experience
  • Hold a full-time, permanent job offer from an Ontario employer
  • Want to settle long-term in Ontario, whether in major cities or regional areas

With increasing demand for skilled professionals across multiple sectors, Ontario’s PNP draws are becoming more frequent and more targeted — giving qualified candidates greater chances to get nominated.
