The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is part of the Economic Class and is managed by the Express Entry system. This program is designed for skilled workers who have gained Canadian work experience and want to become permanent residents. The processing time for the CEC is approximately six months once an Invitation to Apply (ITA) is received.
To qualify for the Canadian Experience Class, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Work Experience: Have at least 12 months of full-time (or an equal amount in part-time) skilled work experience in Canada within the last three years. This work experience must be in occupations listed in the National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill levels 0, A, or B.
Language Proficiency: Meet the minimum language proficiency level of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 for NOC 0 or A jobs, or CLB 5 for NOC B jobs.
Education:While there is no education requirement for the CEC, having a Canadian diploma, certificate, or degree can improve your ranking in the Express Entry pool. Foreign education can also be recognized if assessed by an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) from an IRCC-approved organization.
Quick Processing:Enjoy faster processing times, typically around six months, making it one of the quickest pathways to permanent residency.
No Job Offer Required: Unlike some other immigration programs, a job offer is not required to apply under the CEC.
Canadian Work Experience:Leverage your Canadian work experience to enhance your eligibility and integration into the Canadian labor market.
Opportunity to Stay:Transition seamlessly from a temporary status to permanent residency, allowing you to continue living and working in Canada without interruption.
